2016 NSSC Summer School in Nuclear Analytical Techniques

The 2016 Nuclear Analytical Techniques (NAT) Summer School will be held at the University of California, Davis from July 13-19, 2016. The summer school is open to graduate students and upper-level undergraduates. Interested graduate students should be enrolled in a physics, nuclear chemistry, or nuclear engineering program. Undergraduate applicants should have at least one course in quantum mechanics, differential equations, and modern physics. The application deadline is Jun 5, 2016.

Michael Nacht, Professor of Public Policy, Named Interim Director at the Center for Studies in Higher Education

The Center for Studies in Higher Education (CSHE) is delighted to announce that Michael Nacht  has been appointed as Interim Director, effective May 16th.  He will replace Carol Christ, former CSHE Director, who was named the University’s Interim Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost on May 1st. Nacht serves as the Nuclear Security Policy focus area lead for the Nuclear Science and Security Consortium.
