Stephan Friedrich of LLNL will be speaking at the Nuclear Science and Security Consortium on December 1st, 2016 at 1:00pmPST. Friedrich will be discussing “Cryogenic Gamma-Ray Detectors with Ultra-High Energy Resolution”. This talk will discuss the design and performance of MMC gamma detectors at LLNL, and outlines experiments that can serve as thesis projects for graduate students who are interested in ultra-high resolution detector development.

Sheryl Hingorani, SNL to present NSSC Webinar

On Monday November 7th, 2016 Sheryl Hingorani, leader of Sandia’s Systems Analysis and Engineering organization in Livermore, California will be at UC Berkeley to present a NSSC Webinar and engage local students in a focus group discussion.

Hingorani’s talk will be on a variety of Nuclear Security Programs underway at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA.  Sheryl will also discuss opportunities for possible student intern placements.
