The WATCHMAN research program was recently featured in The Economist. The WATCHMAN collaboration is led by UC Davis and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and includes a number of NSSC students and faculty working with scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to demonstrate the feasibility of remote monitoring of nuclear reactors for nonproliferation using only gadolinium-doped water as a target.
